The light streams through the trees like a veil of white.
The ground is soft with pine needles and moss,
More luscious then an expensive rug.
In the distance there is a bird calling out to his mate,
And the water laps gently along the rocks.

The campfire is burning brightly, a soft glow.
As I walk towards the fire I notice not the nature but the people.
I see my friends, those that mean the most to me.
It is the friendship that brings me back each year.
