Friend, I know that you're hurting
That they stole your dreams away
Now your heart is so certain
That tomorrow is mocked by yesterday
Scared to live new Love's embrace
Afraid to live so cold
Dared to love by her sweet face
Yet dismayed the tale has been foretold.

Survivor let neither your hope or love decay
You lived so those angels could shield you today
Survivor it's either Love's gifts or its demise
Don't let your misgiving make your heartbeat disguised....

Her lips, your redemption
Making frozen fire aflame
Her faith your exemption
From the destiny wove by your shame
Eyes reflecting your passion
A mirror, within
Her embracing compassion
Foretasting Love's power to cleanse your sin

Survivor let neither your hope or love decay
You lived so those angels could shield you today
Survivor it's either Love's gifts or its demise
Don't let your misgiving make your heartbeat disguised....
