I want it, I need it
It’s the sustenance of life
It makes a sad man happy
It makes a rainy day sunny
It makes the coldest heart warm
So why does it elude me?

I want it, I need it
I got to have it for myself
It seems that everyone has it
But there is none for me
Is it fate? Is it destiny?
Why does it elude me?

I want to be happy
I want to share my own
Without this though
I am nothing, I have no meaning
So I ask where is it?
Where can I get it?
Cause I really need it
I can’t live without it
I need your love
It’s what makes me complete
