we weave the close knit basket form
and breathe each other's air
we leave no space. our flesh compressed
as two hands in fervent prayer

stillness. we calm the hammering need
lips paper's width apart
bind hips that long to piston, grind
we slow and match our swelling hearts

a distant storm begins to surge
breath quickens, tension claws our feet
arms strain in vain to merge our skin
my fountain and your downpour meet
we exhale a final yowling cry
sodden, sagging, clinging and complete

good rhythm & metre

Enjoyed the rhythm also your rhyming structure. Not sure about words like 'piston', a bit mechanical compared to excellent water metaphor at the end.
