a delicate rose
blooms pink
opens before me
bows its petals
and allows me
to be the sun
the rain
the pollinating bee

sweetest submission
a surrender of all
a life force focused
on consignment of will
she trusts completely
a jagged edge
that never fit
now made whole
consummated with soft kiss
and touch of hand
a simple command
you will obey
you are mine
you are treasured
