your knife is homesick
for it is no longer lying lifeless in your kitchen cabinet,
but yet molding to the shape of your hands
as you carve yourself out of me
and when realization strikes your brain
i hope you come to copes with me
the body, mind, and soul
the every essence of my being
to welcome me with open arms
