sword of justice
how sharp there in comes the light
oh blade that slashes through the dark
betray my secrets
harvest your truths

yet tell me nothing...
I do not really need to hear
cut me quick and be damned
or not at all
either way
I do not fall broken alone

         I will bare the pain
again...again...again.

           sharp and smooth the reflection
a temptation that bares no fruit
scythe the rotten rancid blossoms bud
'he loathes me, he loves me not'
... wind of change snatch the rest

oh mourn the broken bitter barren vine?
...no
sour were the grapes
and wine

a warning with a double edged blade
a warning as open and empty and vast
as the midnight star FILLED sky...

sarcasm does not always lie

so many words
stretch before me outward
for eternity
writhing, rolling,
a stormy sea of dreams
the sword less mighty than the pen
cant cut words of truth spoken in jest

oh you know best...you know best!

I might fly
so I might drown
to swoop, to swoon, to swim
to fall into your sea of petty sorrow?

I hold my breath lest it mist your steel!
so I may not laugh
as you wield your sword so just
          how red the rust
          in God we trust?
