Song 16 Love Burns In My Veins.

Chorus
Love burns in my veins,
I think of no one else,
But you.
Am I going insane,
Is it true?
I think of what it would be like,
Holding you so near,
And oh so tight.

Verse 1
I always wanted to be,
With someone like you,
Don't you see.
I would like to learn from the best,
And die better than the rest.
I have always lived by these rules,
Even though they may not be so cool.
I live my life day by day,
Doing things my own way.
I guess what I'm trying to say is...
(Chorus)

Verse 2
But doubt holds my mind.
I feel like I'm wasting my time.
I have no money,
I have no car,
I have nothing fancy,
How can I hope to get far?
But still...
(Chorus)

Verse 3
Every night I wonder,
What it would be like,
To be in love.
Oh, it burns and hurts,
And I'm in great pain.
I have no hope to search,
For what I can't hope to gain,
But still...
(Chorus)

Verse 4
I visualize your long and curly hair,
And your beautiful sparkling eyes,
I wish I could be there,
Holding your hand,
Looking towards the skies,
Sitting in the grass,
By the river at our campsite.
Our fishing poles are cast in the water,
And though a fish doesn't bite,
I would be extremely happy anyway,
Because...
(Chorus)

Verse 5
I look down a dark tunnel,
And I see you as the light,
But it is so far away.
Suddenly it begins to fade.
I try desperately to fight,
The enclosing darkness of night,
But in the end,
I realize I can't possibly win,
So I surrender even though...
(Chorus)

So if you got something to tell me,
Just let it go and shout it out,
Because...
(Repeat Chorus & Fade)

To be continued.

Next Song 17 Idiotic Democracy, so check it out, coming soon.

Glad you liked it.

I guess I could see how this could be contrieved as a drug use poem, but I don't endorse drugs, and when I wrote this song, which I did give to a girl one time, and wrote it specifically for her, I actually did mean the feeling of love running through my viens.
