Song 23 Lost Again.

Chorus
There's no free money falling from the sky.
Don't bother asking why.
No love lost when there's none to gain.
Life is full of suffering, confusion, and pain.
Don't know where I'm going or where I've been.
I'm just lost again.
It's the same old thing.
I'm just lost again.

Verse 1
Life is full of pain and confusion.
I no longer know what I'm doing.
Kicked out and living on the street.
I don't even have anything to eat.
I seek escape from the bad memories I know.
Spending another night sleeping out in the cold.
Lonely as all hell.
Oh, well...at least I'm not in jail.
(Chorus)

Verse 2
Police pass by and I hide in the shadows.
Where I'm going I can't tell.

Up the creek, without any paddles.
Maybe I have something I can sell.
I twist my ankle and scream in pain.
I hit the ground scraping my hand.
My life is driving me insane.
Blood drips into the sand.
(Chorus)

Verse 3
Using my shirt I cover my wound.
I find my feet and limp my way onward.
Little ways down the street I begin to swoon.
I stop to break in someone's yard.
In the distance a dog barks.
Up close a light turns on.
Across the sky lightening sparks.
I wish I had a magic wand.
As I limp to my feet, cursing under my breath, and move on.
(Chorus)

Verse 4
People come out of their house as I leave.
Their eyes stare through me.
I find a field where I can lay.
Just as night consumes the day.
Rain begins to drip on my face.
Dried blood washes away without a trace.
Lightening flashes across the sky.
Slowly I wish I would just die.
(Chorus)

Verse 5
A short time later I pass out.
I awaken to a bright and sunny day.
The sun shines in my face and I can't see.
I grumble to myself in useless pleas.
Covered in mud I wobbly get up to my knees.
The wind burns my face with it's warm breeze.
Maybe today will be a new start.
I'll just continue to play my part.
(Chorus)
(Repeat Chorus & Fade)

To be continued.
