The perineum, halfway between heaven and nirvana

A wet path licked down to the forbidden

That secret cave where I taste the ridges of her starfish

Or the path up where tight heat

Pulls my mouth like a moth to flame

Folds hide her pearl, that hidden treasure

Wanting to be found

I bring her to life as her heart

Beats out the rhythm of creation

One last plunge and the biblical flood

Washes over my tongue as reality stops

Le petite mort

The little death

amazing

I have now read both of your poems and found both to be simply amazing. I have just submitted my first poem today and have not written a poem in years. You have inspired me to let my creativity shine.....I just hope someday I can write like this!!!

you would do better with four lines:

The perineum, halfway between heaven and nirvana/

A wet path licked down to the forbidden/

That secret cave where I taste the ridges of her starfish/

One last plunge and the biblical flood/

Drop word secret (it's not, and next to cave)- pearls are so overplayed. Explore the difference between heaven and nirvana? Is there?
