Tears fall from your face
As you cry out in pain
You crave touch, and embrace
But all you feel is disdain
I try to comfort you, make you feel loved
But all you feel is rejection, worthlessness
I tell you I love you, and that you must be an angel, sent from somewhere above
Finally you accept my words, and feel hopefulness
I kiss your lips softly
And cherish you always
