Tempest Storm

I peered out the window today,
the rain was pouring down
weeping tears,
Like it was mouring
the same loss as i.
The wind howling through the trees
aching,
Searching for something lost.
The thunder roared
like the scream in my soul,
shook the window pains
like it rocked the core of my being.
Lightning flashed endlessly
like the piercing in my heart.
I watched as the rain pounded down
feeling as if i might drown.
Soon i could see the sun
fighting it's way through,
just like myself
fighting for breath.
Finally the clouds gave way
to the promise of a new day
and my heart ached a little less.
As the sun shined
i was refreshed and cleansed anew.
