Oh to ride with you,
Great Khan,
Over the steppes,
Beneath the endless sky,
The wind at our backs,
To the ends of the world.
My horse, a comrade in arms,
Sleeping beneath the moon,
Without yurt or name.
The desert wind,
Searing, hot,
Would be as my brother,
Rain, snow and storm,
My only lovers.
Oh to ride with you,
Great Khan,
Into the pages,
The secret history,
The glory of Qara Qorum!
We would feast there,
Upon qumis and meat,
Serenaded by maidens,
From across Asia,
At Qara Qorum,
The center of the world,
The Great Mongol Empire.
The fabled heroes of old,
Now turned to dust,
Forgotten,
And buried in the desert.

Oh to ride with you,
Great Khan,
To ride with you.
