Set adrift my idle, curious mind

Dare I seek the ecstasy of equal thought?

I waiver, knowing none is near to find

Yet cannot release the crave once it is caught

Where to hunt seems the visible plight

Wish not all company of that certain pause

Mine eyes ever deceived with false sight

Still, they trick me to believing ill due cause

My heart is the true betrayer I fear

It drums with a raw, ravenous rhythm

The beast, it howls when close the fever rears

Then my breaths let life slowly escape them

There is no discretion but to it subdue

So I am to give in, to give in to you
