Naked, he strides out of the ocean,
Dripping,
Sun gold across his shoulders,
Eyes a mirror of the sea.

I wait, kneeling in the sand
Sweat slick,
For the benediction,
The grace he offers me.

He stands in front of me
Poseidon’s disciple,
Aphrodite’s gift,
A tsunami on my shores.

My hands worship him
Followed by equally adoring
Lips and tongue—
My gift to him.

He rolls me like the waves,
My back pressed into the wet sand,
His divine body lowered to this mortal,
My mouth open to the sea.
