Beach wood soft and smooth
Translucent, fair and pale
Alone you sit; solitary existence
A knife, an axe, a blade-
Postures near. . . hesitating
Ready to transform
Satin beach wood. . .
What thoughts invade you
Silky one?
Your wooden mind
Filled with sea lice
Holes bored by worms
Long ago deserted
You fear the knife
The Axe
The blade
One slice
And the story is told
Exposed
Your beauty lies outside
For inside the truth
Can be revealed
By one swift WHACK
Of the blade.
