The Cage

Thoughts of you race
Heart pounding I awake
My subconscious has joined my heart
In assault

Your body pierced
Deep
Your heart thrumming
Shallow breath rasps out
Fingers clutching
Depths clenching

The bars protect me from myself
Without them I would fall away
Mind torn asunder
Foundation of identity

Skin flows against soft skin
Glides
Body Ablaze
Face lax in rapture
Bodies entwined
Screaming out

Held to life with iron will
Bound by reason
Obligation an obsession
Bound by imaginary steel

Lips entwined and flushed
Pressing
Battle of wills
Tasting the unknown
Battling Tongues
Silenced moans

Uncertainty of purpose
Certain of desire
Mind stronger still
Doubt succumbed to nature

Fingers dance and searching
Exploring
Wandering with grace
Hearts ablaze with life
Finding the spots
That drive you wild

I will endure
These thoughts continue
Fantasies undreamt
Until the end of time
