Desperation calls on you,
The time is drawing near,
Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide,
The places to go, are very few.

Seeking shelter before the storm,
Has never been a thing you've done
Always waiting til it hit full force,
Blasting at you like a gun

You look so peaceful out there.
The scene itself, so serene.
You're standing there, alone, with the rain.
your face upturned slightly, eyes closed.

Your body, rigid but with obvious pleasure.
The look on your face, of pure bliss.
The crashing of thunder around you..
The lightning flashing with a vengeance..

You think you are one with the storm
I can see it in your stance
Head to head with the raging rain
the wind whipping at your hair

You seem oblivious to the storms' anger
In tune only with your own pleasure
Your arms outstretched, embracing the power
Your face tilted way back now..

Finally, your eyes are open
You lift your head upright
The tension gone from your body.
A slight smile, across your lips
