Click hereThe animals and the Indians
Friends hand in hand
Living as a family
Being one with the land
They got along so good
They all were so free
Until something changed
Making them have to flee
That change couldn't lose
It does all that it can
It destroys the People
It is the White Man
They came in groups
Taking over the land
Causing Indians to leave
Not daring to take a stand
The White Man started building
Those places they call towns
They called it civilization
Moving Indians from their grounds
The change still came
Just like a brand new day
The Indians tried for peace
But there just wasn't a way
The White Men put them away
Put the Indians on fenced land
They weren't used to being held
Not beaten, not broken, not banned
They had to work so hard
For a child, a nephew, a niece
Ending with less than nothing
And all in the name of
"PEACE"
Sorry I didn't get the imagry most of your poems give me. I found I was counting syllables.
LOL counted well though
The tribal truth shines~ I would venture to say that this will touch the great spirit of many souls~
