i wear no collar around my neck
but it is there hidden, deep within my soul
i need no symbol to know You are Master
for my soul screams it out each day
i search for another to take Your place
but i can’t for my soul is still Yours
know that though i don’t wear Your collar
and never may again,
i’ve known the joy and shall always treasure it
perhaps some day in the future i will find another Master
if i do i will remove that collar from my soul
and offer myself to Him wholly and fully
but until then i wear that collar quietly and silently
praying You’ll return and take that place that is Yours
as my Friend, my Lover, my Master
