Across oceans of night
to the dawns over strange horizons I have traveled, plummeted the depths of isolation's silence, cried havoc, let slip the dogs of war, drank from the skulls of enemies laid to waste, blasphemed in forgotten tongues against any god that dared listen and stared death in the eye till it blinked.

And along came you.

Before you I am humble, arrogance stilled.
Through your eyes I see what is denied to me; a world immaculate and serene.

Guilelessly you have conquered me.
Defenseless I could not resist.
Your touch enfeebles me.
I have succumbed to your kiss.

If I am to live forever and all the kingdoms of the world would be mine; it would be meaningless if you were not at my side.

I may never reach heaven but you have brought it to me.
My heart, my soul, my angel...
May I never awaken from this dream.

Beautiful sense of long longing.
