Seven Crows 'cackling' on a fence board
hashing out who's loudest
as another starts to roar

'Caw Caw' and calling for all the world to hear
across an open meadow
the sound rippled and speared

Seven black birds bathing in the noon day sun
a hop, twirl and turning
away went 'squawking' one

'Caw Caw Caw Caw Caw Caw'

Six Crows announcing that they were here
wings flap and spreading
leaps on a wind shear

The Crows ascended flying over the trees
silence across the meadow
everyday they come, then leave
