Click hereWhen I longed for you
in the cloying dark of
your dreams,
you danced through the
blaze of my eyes,
to the consuming clasp
of my craving.
You waltzed the sunlight
to starlight,
and traversed the years
in a spin. Yet always
we were enmeshed,
in step and bound in flesh.
When the park was humid
with pools of lilacs,
we lay in the shadows,
entwined by flesh and passion,
vined into the other.
And you danced into me,
that sweet gasping night,
when the shadows released us.
When the starlight surrounded us
we waltzed through the silver
to the muffled
sigh of release.
We lay buried in the other,
naked in the sheets of dark
that swaddled us,
in the silver pool of our lust.
You dance my dance into me.
You twisted the moonlight into
my eyes and fingers,
for your looking
and caressing.
Your lips hummed the tune
of my body and desire.
As we lay in the dark pool of the park,
entwined, as we danced the dance
that would carry us from then
and bring us from first night, to last.
eroticism of this poem, is so seductive, and it makes one ache ,for those worm night of passion. Just a very beautiful haunting poem.
So achingly beautiful. Reminds me of Savannah or New Orleans, those decadent summer nights dancing to the blues and the natural transition to languid love-making.
but the imagry in this one is even more achingly lovely.
