Please I ask of you to give me your forgiveness.
Sometimes I lapse into these states of forgetfulness.
Of all the things I have told you I haven’t even told you my name.
I am the one that they call Kane.

Well I ended my last tale with the seduction of Lilly.
Since then I have been content with just one filly.
I stayed with her through her transformation,
thus defying my entire family’s conformation.
Well before I start another story let me tell you how I started.
I will tell you everything before my soul and body parted.

I was just a simple man.
About to go to college I had no plan.
Though I did recreationally try out the newest drugs,
by far was I to be called a “thug.”
It was nearing the end of high school,
so my friends thought it would be cool.
One last partying binge before the end.
One more time out with all of our friends.
Who knew what one party could do.
I know all of this will be new to you.

Going from club to club,
we all were feeling pretty good.
That’s when I spotted this girl.
Though she looked like all the others, my head whirled.
The way she moved seemed like everyone else was lacking grace.
I'm telling you, you should have seen her face.
Beyond words, I don’t even know what to compare.
My friends noticed my infatuation and placed upon me a dare.
I was triple dogged dared to ask her to dance.
I knew for tonight this would be my last chance.

Suddenly images of our entangled bodies filled my head.
Unbidden thoughts of me and her in bed.
Then they were gone.
Replaced by an undying notion, now I'm walking hindered by no one.
Introducing myself she smiled coyly.
Her skin had a sheen of sweat that seemed oily.
One thing led to another.
Soon we were wrapped around one another.

Though she seemed only 20 she was experienced beyond her years.
I could only hope that this night would not end, that was my fear.
Her nails seemed like an eagles digging rivets in my back.
She’s riding me like a stallion, galloping toward the conclusion.
“I'm cumming” she screamed and I followed her illusion.
Suddenly she dives in sinking her teeth into my neck.
My strength slowly leaves me and I feel like a wreck.
The last thing I see are those cold steel gray eyes.

Waking up I rub my eyes trying to clear my head.
My neck’s sore from were… She bit me! I jump out of bed.
I run over and inspect my marks in the mirror.
Against my pale skin they stand out so clear.
From the corner I hear the sweetest voice.
“The suns almost up so I will give you a choice.”
“A choice I think we should give to everyone,”
“though few of us give it to anyone.”
“How do you want to live?”
“That is the choice that I give.”
She turned to leave,
“Wait!” as I grabbed on to her sleeve.
“What is it exactly that you are giving?”
“Because I'm just so inclined to be leaving.”
“Immortality that is what I propose,”
“but only if you so choose.”
Confused “So exactly what is it that you are?”
“You silly high school boys, you haven’t figured it out thus far?”
“No I haven’t figured it out thus.”
“Well I am a vampire or that’s how you would know us.”
“Your kidding me right were is the surprise?”
“You humans are so difficult, just look into my eyes.”
She steps into the light and I gasp drawing back.
Indescribable, her eyes are like cold steel wrapped in a ring of fire.
She left at that just as my mind sank into a quagmire.

That day I saw my last sunrise and sunset.
For soon after she left my mind was set.
I sought her out and told of my decision.
She then spoke with crystal clear precision.
“This is irreversible you will kill in order to survive.”
“I understand that and I embrace this gift, I want to be truly alive.”
“This is your choice and I will not interfere.”
“I will stay with you long enough to teach you how to persevere.”
“For now though I must leave you, get some rest you will need it.”
With that she left, going outside the air tickles my nose as I breathe it.
The sun bursts through the tree line.
The sky is streaked with magnificent lines of colors so fine.
Hues of purple, red, and pink ablaze across the sky.
Committing the sight to memory I take one last look and sigh.
My feet lead me back to my room and sleep overtakes me.

She wakes me it seems just moments after I fell asleep.
“Go outside.” I watch the sunset and I begin to weep.
Fully dark now I'm ready and head back inside.
“Are you truly certain of the path you choose to ride?”
“Yes I am ready.”
She takes her arm and bites into the vein, holding it out for me steady.
I take her arm inhaling the coppery smell and lower my mouth to her wrist.
Blood spills into my mouth, more and more I want, as she balls her fists.
“ENOUGH!” She screams as she pulls her hand away.
“Lay down and I will lead you the rest of the way.”
Laying back down I can feel her blood coursing through my body.
“The next few hours are going to hurt.” Suddenly I'm groggy.
Jerking awake I can feel unbearable pain wrack my body.
“What have done to me you lying…”
“That is your soul dying,”
“I told you that this was going to hurt did you think I was lying?”
“ARGG” I scream passing out again.
Waking up I feel terrific. “Welcome to the beginning.”
“Are you ready to venture into your new surrounding?”
“Yes.”
It seemed so alive the night did.
So many things were revealed that the night has hid.
To describe it would take numerous pages.
It was like the night had become ageless.

The next months were spent with her.
She was my mother, my maker, my tutor, my lover.
I was a quick learner and I hungered for her knowledge.
I learned far more about life from her then I would have in college.
She taught me to naturally let the body die.
For if we drank the body dry we would also die.
She taught me all of the weaknesses of our race,
sunlight, silver, and holy water in the face.
These would almost surely bring death,
other then that we would remain in fairly good health.
We have great strength, immunity from disease, and we can even fly!
Drinking blood and feeling it course through your veins is a euphoric high.
The feelings of power and overwhelming confidence,
the ability to live your fantasies to their fullest decadence.

One day she came to me and said “You have learned everything I can teach you.”
“You are my favorite student and greatest lover, but now I must leave you.”
She then turns and runs out the door.
I try to chase her but she is gone and I collapse to the floor.
I now live on rats and other rodents.
I have lost the will to live and in my health it makes a dent.
Weeks pass and slowly she becomes a distant memory.
I have eternity to live, so I set out to make my history.
I test my powers and push them to their limits and beyond.

I settle in a small city outside of Dallas.
There for a few weeks I am surprised at a gentle knocking.
I open the door and there is another vampire slowly on his heels rocking.
“May I come in?”
Merely a requirement for our kind I let him in.
I knew this wasn’t a social call,
for I had no friends at all.
“What is it that you want?”
“I represent a family of sorts and it is you we want.”
“We have watched you and your powers grow,”
“There is much though we can teach you that you don’t know.”
His voice was accented thickly and I could not place it.
“Here’s my card you have two days.”
With that he left the same way that he had came.
My head is full of questions I mean I don’t even know his name.
Two days pass and I call the number.
“We will send a car at dusk tomorrow, so get some slumber.”
No introductions nothing then the line is dead.
I go out that night and on a pretty girl I feed.
Falling asleep in my coffin I awake soon to the dying light.
They arrive just as they had said and soon we take flight.
Into Dallas we drive and introductions are made to my new family.
They call themselves “Generation X.”

Hip Hop.

It's nice to read about a vampire that's enjoying himself. Sort of a live and let live ~ or you bite me - I bite you all done in rhyme.

I think I understand rap now!

I liked the story. It looks like the meter is ignored and replaced by a heavily accented final syllable that marks the end of the line.

~~

A rather lengthy continuation of an earlier vampiric prose piece.
