To say I love you

Is a hard core thing

You never stop to realize

The heartache it can bring

When you love someone

It's deep and it's real

Basically you've given them

Control of how you feel

At any given time

They can abuse and hurt you

And nothing anyone does or says

Will appease you or comfort you

When your heart gets broken

In a million pieces it's shattered

You begin to wonder

If how you felt really mattered

Or was it a game

Like Truth or Dare?

When he busted your heart

Did he even really care?

Or did life go on

In it's normal fashion

While you're stuck here

cleaning up the debris of passion

To say I love you

Is a hard core thing

You never stop to realize

The heartache it can bring
