Forever and a day is what I wish for in my dreams.
I see children laughing and you smiling.
In silence, I pray never to wake up.
With trembling hands I reach for you,
Asking but for one glance.
As my hand almost brushes yours,
The picture is torn, my sight fades, and your warm breath turns cool.
Suddenly, I realize...it was so close yet so far away.
My perfect dream vanished as the morning sun stirs me.
Awake, I find myself searching...
For one more chance to grasp my dream
