Summer is leaving us again for a year
The sights and sounds and smells it brings
Girls in short shorts and smaller tops
Heavy bass sounds roaring out of car's trunk
Guys walking around holding onto their shirt
Burgers and dogs grilling over a fire
Days lasting well into the late evening
An occasional rainfall and sometimes a shower
Baseball playing during the day or night
Fireworks on the Fourth of July
The ice cream truck blasting nursery rhymes
Yes Summer is leaving again for the year
But Autumn seems kind of crisp, neat and clear
