The icing of a winter storm
Blows it flakes to my doorstep
I'm home, I'm alone
But I lie, it's your essence that's here
And the fire that keeps me warm.
The wind whistles and
My porch becomes covered
Your body, your being
Caresses, soothes and keeps
Me warm
I kiss your spirit and hold your charm
Your eyes are here
Dancing magically through
Shadows of a wicked winter
I can't think of a better way
To be held captive, hostage
With you keeping me far from
The ravages of any bleak, cold, frigid harm............................

A nice way to keep warm

...on a stormy winter's night. Well written - even though it's obviously written for one specific person it reads well as a gentle romance.
