Her shadow glided softly across the paper screens
They whispered softly open as she entered on her knees.
The Beauty of the woman was not of natural ilk
Her white skin was as china, her lips they were as blood.
A smile bedecked her countenance as flowers adorned her hair.
Hair as fine as silk and dark as deepest night,
Bluest eyes of almond and the smell of lightest jasmine.
She liked the air around her as many watched her form,
She bowed and then she entered and glided to her guests
The smell the steam created of the green tea swirled within.
The guests greeted her warmly and welcomed her to them.
Her laugh tinkled amongst them and they admired their host.
The others oft admired her, though some were always bitter
Her dress it was as beauteous as her face and form alone
But time flew swiftly past the gaily laughing group
And soon the lady left them to ply her talents elsewhere
For no other was The Geisha, and none other could be her.
