Drifting on the endless waters, floating with the gentle tide.
Soothing all the raging fire, burning, blistering inside.
Run away to distant shores, leave you far behind.
Raging flame will be no more, just glowing embers kind.
Touch me not to leave your mark, nor scars forever born.
To see you only from afar, a sight which makes me mourn.
Desolation creeps within, a chill within my soul resides.
My need begins to spark a fire, from you I can not hide.
Compelled, I move like in a trance, returning to your side.
I kneel before you sad and wise; I look at you with loving eyes
I feel your touch, my soul responds to your commands at will
No spoken word, no reprimand, my spirit finally still.
The knowing I belong to you as you belong to me
Sets me free from my fears, I surrender….completely.
