Gossamer tapestries
Fill the hedgerows
Still silent sentries
Like faerie bed-throws.
Stories they tell
Of battles long dead
And of more waiting hell
In the day ahead.
Like telegraph wires
Or God’s ghostly breath
There’s something to admire
In the lace of death.
