Author's Note: This poem is meant to be a court jester's silly ballad. Please enjoy in the humor it is intended to bring. ~Rrrosyn

* * * * *

You said you loved me truly
With chivalrous mind and heart
Yet I fear with each passing year
Another maid will keep us apart

You call me your one true love
You made me for your goal
But at the last tavern you did learn
Of a maid held by a troll

Cinderella
Among the ash
Her sisters fight her
Her mother slights her
So to her side you dash

Snow White
No longer safe
Dwarves ineffective
Friends neglective
Only you can spare this waif

Rupunzel
Of knots and tangled hair
Witch steals newborns
Her lover in thorns
But of you they must beware

Beauty Sleeping
Locked in her castle tower
Her faeries failed
Her people wailed
Thus I wait a few more hours

So if you love me truly
If your heart sees my distress
You'll rescue me; I'll no longer be
Rose, the Last Princess
