Sometimes I wish I could do something so outrageous
That the angels would scream in fits of laughter
That would shake the rafters of the most boring churches
Luring the unrepentant such as myself back to the pews
To throw shoes at each other
Or go nude to the altar
Or turn wine into water
With a blindingly forthright trick involving a sink
Or for that single moment
Simply think on that niggling doubt.
