The young woman in white walks towards the man
Dressed in a gray suit and a gray tie.
She tries to smile as she walks alone,
No one to guide her to the man of her dreams.
She thinks back to only a few weeks ago,
Thinking of making every part of this day perfect.
The flowers, the seating arrangements, the dress,
Her hair, her makeup, her nails.
She should have realized that making the day perfect
Would mean making sure those important to her were there.
