the milk of human kindness,
the salt of farmers' blood,
a pitcher of brotherhood ale,
the brain of an architect,
a whiff of grape-juice and a civil wafer,
the sweat of summer road trips,
a lock of red hair from a gentle beast,
and inky, rotting hours of cultural creation.
