Almost from the very first
I knew you were
bright eyed dynamic perdition.

And how could I, equal parts unsure and so full of desire -
a breathless stirred swirl of black and white,
my moral compass spinning planet-fast,
have chosen otherwise?

You always caught whatever light there was
like stained glass.
