We sank into it like a dream,
Never to fully submerge it,
Realistic,
Things had seemed,
People meant nothing to us,
Yet still we were forced to sneak,
Like thieves in the dark,
Afraid of who might see,
You and me,
We tried in vain to hide,
What could even be seen by the blind,
When things got heavy and deep,
We were by each other’s side,
For this was ours to keep,
But no longer shall this be,
And forever may it rest in peace…
