I painted holes on the walls,
Then punched them in for good measure.
A decorative choice
Albeit, not a very artistic one.

I have seen the Luxor spotlight, shining into space,
A million illuminated insectoid bodies
Spiraling within, as if trapped and forced to dance
Within the confines of the beam.
A towering pillar composed of fireflies.

Witness how
A clear plastic sheen covers everything I create,
Like a Nissan commercial,
Where every surface reflects every Thing.
It’s unbearable.
So inorganic, I am a failed plastic surgeon.

However,
This is the shrine I have chosen,
A hallowed ray of light shining into Earth,
Born of Euripides and broken wing.
A crumbling tower composed of butterflies.

Thanatos,
Silent as sweet nothings whispered,
Lurks cautiously, for even Thanatos fears Thanatos.
Awkward as a Salvador Dali elephant,
He creeps as best he can.
Cloaked by Mother Nyx,
Butterfly aflutter on a finger,
An approaching monolith composed of possibilities.

The hidden dark twin of the original?

Now, I may need the public help on this one as the Ezekiel I am familiar with and the one portrayed here seem to share only the tendency to have visions regarding death. You may say: that's quite a lot to share: But how shall I put it? the biblical one could be the 'good brother' of this dark Ezkiel whose visions do not seem to evolve into any happy ending at all... Any suggestions?
