I'm sitting here in the silent zone
Nothing sucks more then being alone

Friends all around you, but none to be found
the sound of silence is the world's worse sound

One thing I've learned in this small silent zone
you hear so much more, but in a different tone

You can hear your heart as it shatters in two
You can hear your soul screaming for you

But what is it saying? I wish I could tell
I only feel the ache and it hurts like hell

Waiting for someone, something to arrive
Some shred of evidence to remind you you're alive

Maybe it's a cool breeze on a warm summer's day
Maybe it's a song that you repeatedly play

Or maybe its the reflection staring back at you
It's there to remind you that you are still you

And this pain will pass, it will just disappear
No more emptiness or sadness, no more gut wrenching fear

The silent zone will again be filled with voices of love
Out with the bad, in with the good, and all you've dreamed of.
