During his red-eye flight from Philly,
Harv remembers Camp Shomria
somewhere up in the Catskills
and the thingamajig he couldn't wait
to give to Mother on their front porch
in Cherry Hill, New Jersey

as quiet as a shiva,
a covered hallway mirror,
and in the living room two diamond earrings
dangling from the number one
pipe cleaner cat a son ever made
one summer at Camp Shomria.

Reflection

There seems to be a running theme of reflection in your recent poems, at least those I've read. The words echo, make me think back. Mazel tov - your writing inspires, though it's clearly very personal. Light and beautiful, again.
