The unborn child lies stirring
Approaching now his time
And daddy dons a uniform
To cross the desert line

Will the child be ever lonely?
Just photographs, and tears
Is the lifeblood that surrounds him
Born of his mummy’s tears

Will he ever really know?
This man who gave him life
A name upon a gravestone
There carve by twisted knife

Will he ask how did it happen?
This war was so unjust
Where men did sign the death note
Then say “In God we trust”

The unborn child lies crying
As waters start to flow
Screaming out in agony

“MY DADDY, PLEASE DON’T GO”

Peace,
BD
