The Valentine

you open your eyes and sit on your bed your feet hit the floor
11 am its valentines day and you notice something more,
A red rose taped carefully sideways flat on your door,
a box of chocolates laying upside down as if an arrow on your floor,
a hersheys kiss in your hand melted from the heat,
a letter signed by your man you smile and your heart skips a beat,
you open the letter and begin to guess
maybe a poem or a love letter at best
you look at the cover and its kisses and hugs
you look at the back and its a peice of black rug

chuckling at his creativity and opening the card
you notice theres writing on both sides
on the left the familiar writing of the your lover boy and his lines
you read what he has written and everything is fine
the last words written were forever yours and you are mine___
the ink slides off the page and it looks like it hit his floor
you think nothing of it and read the other side
the writing is no longer his but a girls with somethign on her mind
you recognize the writing its your sisters down the hall
she must have had a confession you notice the writings not his at all
she had signed his name at the front of the card
and glued a patch of her rug on the back
but when i read the left side it was his writing i was sure of that
i noticed that the right side had more and it was upside down
i read the poem it was to him and i didnt know what was going down,
she wrote about love and how much she cared and how she wanted him back
and when i read that last words i almost died of a painfull heart attack
"I love you Jay you are so sweet i'm happy you are mine,
together forever I AM YOURS AND YOU ARE ALL MINE"
you gasp for air as you read the date, this poem was written last night
you look at the date on the left side of the card and you remember it was the date of a recent fight
you notice the left side does not have any names and you guess its for her
you lay down and cry you hate valentines and the rest of the day was a blur

Febuary 14th is now a day of regret
she breaks up with jay and dosent talk to him yet
her sister dates him openly and rubbs it in her face
but what her sister dosent know is that jay is a disgrace
he was her first she cant deny
but theres more to this little twist
he has a tattoo of her name
on the knuckle of his fist
he coveres it with a ring
so his mother dosent see
wait till she takes his ring off
and he will show it openly
so I may not laugh now
but jay will be in shock
when they have to have sex for the first time
and she sees the tattoo on his cock
another one of me
you can bet your life on that
but thats not all because when he takes off his hat
she will see the tattoo of me and my name on his back
as you can see hes my property
and always my valentine
so i am for him and forever he will be mine______
