You had to drive that wedge
of confession in there,
split the legs of our trust apart.
You loved me up,
pulled me close

then used your need
for absolution
to drive me away.
You fucked me
with your insecurity.

It would have been fine
if you had just left it alone
and not told me that
you went to see
if you could catch me;

Let me believe
that you trusted me,
though I had crossed the line,
You could have
lured me back over.

Now I am so angry
you violated my privacy
that I want to stand out
in the rain by myself
and scream.
