The wild Wolf dances ‘round Man's red circle
feeling the warmth upon her face
seeing Dog lay beside Him
knowing she will never occupy that space.
Though her tail wags as Dog's does,
and her fur's just as fair,
she has a wildness
that Dog does not share.
And though she might long
for the touch of Man's hand
her love of the moonlight
He can't understand
soul split desires weave in with the fog
the wild Wolf dances 'round man's red circle
knowing she will never be like Dog
