Candlight glimmers upon the rim of a glass
Giving off a golden glow like polished brass
The glow in your eyes seems to me much the same
Like those of a lioness much too hungry to tame
I watch you watching me, so I hold very still
I feel you're the hunter, and I fear I am the kill
You get up from the bed and circle to my side
Fear and exhiliration become all tangled inside
I sit quietly and shiver like a newborn colt
And you circle toward me, as if I might bolt
In panic I sit, as I feel somewhat removed
But suddenly I notice that the view has improved
The sweat on your body looks like glass not skin
And its subtle perfection brings a change from within
My heart starts to pound, and I feel no more fear
And my hand snatches out, pulling you near
My eyes lock on yours like blue diamond chips
And I hear you panting for breath through soft parted lips
You turn your back to me, as if to show disdain
But the desire within, to the wolf in me, is quite plain
I slide up behind you, as silent as lurking death
And with my lips at your throat, a growl under my breath
I feel the tension within you, as if preparing to fight
But my lips brush your skin, with a touch as soft as night
With passion unbridled, a mad battle ensues
A battle of pure pleasure, which no one can lose
Predators to each other, and yet both are the prey
Upon this satin savannah, the bed where we lay
Skin touches skin, each filled with sweet fire
And we know the bold rush of limitless desire
Though the night seems short, and the fury soon fades
The warm touch of your body fuels more passionate tirades
Finally, with the cold light of dawn, I lay my head upon your breast
The wolf and the lioness, two lovers once more at rest.
