Moon bowing at her feet
Glowing on perfect skin
Soft curves, smooth lines
Unblemished by age or care.

Silken thighs parted
Offering up illusions
Love that is cold and dark
Fire, lost with innocence
Or thrown away in ignorance.

Smooth flat stomach
Never to be round
Statues never change
Life comes not from stone.

Firm round breasts
Promise of nurturing unfulfilled
Suckling not babes
But monsters that walk as men
Offering magic potions
To take away the pain.

Face of a Madonna
Smooth and sweet
But inside, all rotten
Hopes and dreams that spoiled
Or were stolen in the dark
True beauty forever outside her grasp
This Goddess with the vacant eyes.
