You whisper in my ear,
As you get ready to leave,
Sadness lurks in my eyes,
For we both know,
That I covet what she has,
Everytime you come I know,
That it’s her you’re going back to,
But as I kiss you goodbye,
So you can go back to her,
You whisper the words again,
(This is for keeps),
And I know that you’re telling the truth,
Even if it is just how you see it,

For as long as it lasts.
