For all my wants and desires you make me feel guilty as sin
I can't stand this way of life you've put me in
Through all this I'd just like to say
My body, my heart, my mind isn't made of clay
You can't knead me into what you want me to
I just can't pretend to like the things you want me to
And just like clay that's gotten to cold
My mind, my heart just won't fit into your mold
Ever since my life you did create
You've said the things I didn't understand not to fear and hate
Then why is it my lifestyle and choices you do?
For who's life is it I live for, me or you?
Why is it you fear me so?
Why can't you just let it go?
You think if you deny it, it will just go away
Well, let me just say, it's not gonna happen that way
I am who I am, and I'll be who I'll be
Why can't you just accept me for me?
Cause I'll say it loud,
And I'll say it proud,
I'm gonna live my life and be myself
Not gonna put my wants and needs upon a shelf
And if you don't accept me or like it,
There's a saying for that, "Tough shit!"
Cause I'm free and I'm willing
My heart just can't keep on giving
Into you
I'm tired of all the shit you've put me through
Cause this is me
And you are you
