If the feelings are gone,
I know I can’t stay,
But its so hard to walk away,
From everything I thought we had,

When you walked away,
I knew I’d regret what I said,
Or more to the point,
What I didn’t say,

Your not here anymore,
But I still linger,
Even though I know,
That it’s just a little too late,

I don’t want to say I’m sorry,
Because I know it wasn’t my fault,
Things fell apart without an obvious reason,

Rather stupidly I can now see,
What I’ve always done,
My hearts always been intent on you,

And I even know why,
Because you always want,
What you can’t have.
