What's happening Sally
where you living Sue
remember like yesterday
making love to you,

Each of you so different
but a pinch of much the same
one the morning sun
one the evening rain,

Sue I met in Europe
Sally in Hong Kong
Love was fast and furious
neither lasted long,

Like particles in
some nuclear event
collided in the dark
energies well spent,

Lived our lives in hotel rooms
buses, ferries, planes
if we had a dozen minutes
we shook the window panes,

Rip each other's buttons
strip each other's pants
a mix of sex and love
like the last chance to dance,

Before the morning sun
before the evening rain
before we had to board
another fucking plane,

Our last night together
the three of us, at last
fog in San Francisco
an impossible task,

You became great lovers
told me to take a hike
I'm standing in the rain
on Market Street tonight,
